Shepherdstown’s Morgan’s Grove Market is celebrating their opening day this upcoming Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 from 9am to 1pm. The local agricultural collaborative is making strides in expanding their ability to provide the community with local meat, fresh greens, and baked goods.
In addition to the Saturday hours, this year the market will be open on Tuesdays from 3pm – 7pm. Plans are currently in the works to build a permanent establishment at 3988 Kearneysville Pike which will allow the market to be accessible all year around, six days a week.
In order to broaden their scope, Morgan’s Grove Market is launching an online ordering service this year that will allow shoppers with jam-packed Saturdays to place orders that can be picked up on Tuesdays.
Morgan’s Grove Market is hoping to inspire a local movement that goes beyond the standard weekend market. Once the building is underway, market coordinators aim to create a hub for restaurants, physicians, therapists, and nutritionists that desire to bring the public holistic, healthy lifestyle options.
